Ryan's Well Foundation. The struggle to bring clean water to Africa
May be many NGOs engaged in digging wells in Africa, or the supply of the liquid element in any other way, but surely none will be born in the same way that Ryan's WellFoundation.
The Canadian NGO was founded in 2001 with a clear objective: to raise funds to carrydrinking water to developing countries.
But it all started from the initiative of a child as young as 9 years, his name, RyanHreljac.
When Ryan was still in school, learned from his teacher that there were people in manycountries around the world who died due to scarcity of drinking water. The boy, struck by this, decided to raise money to pay for the construction of a well in Africa.Unfortunately, Ryan believed that the cost of this infrastructure was $ 70, when in fact, dig a hole slashing $ 2000. However, this did not deter him and continued looking for ways to get money. Thus, in 1999, could cover the construction of its first well in a village in Uganda.
Currently, Ryan's Well Foundation has managed to bring drinking water to over 700,000people in developing countries.
